Hi there and welcome! My name is Becky ~ I am a social worker by day but dreamer, designer, and doer at heart. I am a proud mama of 3 beautiful kiddos and lifelong DIY’er. Lucky for me my husband shares my creative energy and is a pretty handy guy who knows his way around power tools. Neither of us are afraid to roll up our sleeves to save a little money when tackling a project, with the most recent being the completion of building our dream home. Follow along as we tell you our Modern Farmhouse Story!
My husband I have spent our entire relationship working side by side on house projects. We have built 3 homes together with my husband doing most of the heavy lift (no he is not a builder and yes he has a separate full-time job, as do I). We have also purchased and renovated multiple smaller homes to use as rental property.
Follow us as we finish up the final touches on our third home- a beautiful modern farmhouse overlooking the rolling hills of the “Driftless Area” in Wisconsin. I am excited to share with you design inspiration, lessons we have learned along the way, tutorials and DIY projects, and much more about our mid-west charmed life!
